If you think bonds sound like a good investment for you, you can invest in a bond fund. ItÂ’s a mutual fund that only invests in bonds. If you plan on investing in multiple bonds, itÂ’s a more convenient way to do so than by buying individual bonds. Bond funds also donÂ’t have maturity dates.
Example: If you want to invest in a bond fund, youÂ’d find a bond fund manager who would research the fixed income market for you to find the best bonds. TheyÂ’ll purchase and sell those bonds on your behalf, likely forming a portfolio with a mix of different bonds, including corporate bonds, foreign government bonds, and treasury bonds.
